When I first began researching Worldprofit as a potential addition to my business model, I did the same most people do… I Googled “what is Worldprofit?” I was struck by a couple of consistencies I saw in the search results. First, it appeared that Worldprofit has been around a longtime – 16 years for an online business opportunity is rarely scene and hard to find. Second, there seemed to be a lot of posting about the personality of Worldprofit’s CEO Dr. Jeffrey Lant.
My first exposure was the same as everyone who has commented on Dr. Lant, in Worldprofit’s Live Business Center where Worldprofit conducts it’s daily business in complete transparency - the entire sales process takes place on a live interactive website in plain sight. I have searched the Internet and I could not find any other company that does this – it is unique. I likewise felt that Dr. Lant was extremely impatient when soliciting my interest in becoming a paid member, he also assumed that I was a rookie marketer, which was not the case and he wasn’t interested in hearing otherwise.
I have been involved in sales in one form or another for more than 26 years and I have run across and successfully dealt with sales people far more aggressive than Dr. Lant, so I didn’t allow this clash of personalities overshadow what I recognized to be a great business model and extreme value based on what was offered. Needless to say I joined Worldprofit that day and it is a decision that I could not be happy with and I can say without reservation that Dr. Lant has selflessly taught me a great deal about business.
Over the past few weeks I have taken the time to read just about every negative review of Dr. Jeffrey Lant and I find three striking facts that inspired me to write this post. I would ask that you keep the following points in mind the next time you read one of these reviews online.
1. The post were made by people who have never worked with Dr. Jeffrey Lant or Worldprofit, or they state they “tried” Worldprofit for 30 days and quit because they didn’t magically make money overnight. In my experience “something for nothing” business schemes are the true scams in our industry and serious marketers with the right mindset expect that they are going to have to work to build a business and recognize that 30 days in not enough time to evaluate any real business.
2. I found that most of the commentators where so put off by Dr. Lant’s personality that they focused on him more than the business opportunity. This is unfortunate because I would concede that Dr. Lant can be a rude, impatient and condescending at times. This is just the truth, but he is equally committed to his associates, supportive, very generous, blatantly honest, motivational and a true marketing mentor.
If I had to agree with the social style of everyone I worked with or had as a client, I would have a much smaller and less profitable business – I can assure you! In my opinion what is more important is whether the person has integrity and if what they represent offers true value to the marketplace. Dr. Lant passed these test for me, you should draw your own conclusion based on your objectives.
The name calling and characterizations made in a small number of reviews are simply childish and made in lieu of any real facts to support the opinions of the comment authors. I trust you can see through this and if you can’t there is a much bigger problem that needs to be addressed.
3. The person writing the review is doing so strictly for the purpose of being controversial in order to attract traffic to his or her own blogs. Because Dr. Lant is a popular and polarizing figure, post related to him drive content. I have read a few follow up comments from reviewers that brag about how much traffic they are generating at the expense of Dr. Lant and good people who are looking for real answers and honest reviews.
4. The post where made prior to 2009 (most were written in 2008 or older) and the information about the cost of Worldproft’s programs and the actual back-end sale are no longer correct. I had previously looked at it using a 30 day trial period two years ago – May 2008 .
I was surprised by how much Worldprofit has changed over the past two years. Worldprofit has created a true back-end revenue model by adding the entire 10,000 + ClickBank product library with more than 80 pre written product campaigns and edited sales-pages. They also have added a variety of Automated SEO Tools and an enhanced auto-reponder program. My point is that so much has change has occurred at Worldprofit that some of the reviews are obsolete.
Here are two post I made to my primary blog on my extensive “due diligence” on Worldprofit and my review of Dr. Jeffrey Lant.
Concerning Worldprofit:

Concerning Dr. Jeffrey Lant:

In conclusion, I am not here to pick a fight with people who have formed an opposing opinion of Dr. Lant and Worldprofit, many of the post authors are bloggers and marketers I respect. Equally, I am not here to defend Dr.Lant, although I have formed a healthy respect for him based on my personal experience. I am not here to drink any one’s “Kool-Aide” nor to cast stones. I have often found that the truth is usually found somewhere in the middle of wide ranging opinions.
